The Vampire! By
Sophira
The vampire! A creature of the night,
certainly.
Such a creature! Made of blood, magic, and death.
So you have always been told, so you have long believed.
Yet where am I? Not at your window, and not at your door.
I want naught of you, and your baneful ballads.
I keep to my kindred and to myself. Scarce. Solitary.
A fiend in the starlit night, fangs flashing in the shadows.
Dust to the stars, then, and ashes to the moon.
I am not the monster you would have me be,
And I will not conform to the tune.
(from Asher's POV)
Watching Each Other By
Sophira
A sheen of gold, glittering in the light
A rare smile, for once unhidden
Bright laughter, sliding like rain
Over skin too long without water
A sorror as old as time, endless
As the sky and deep as any ocean
Eyes following a beloved figure
Drowning, loving, crying, vying
For the attentions of a lover
Too close, yet so far away
Eyes of frosted blue color
Such extraordinary beauty
Such extraordinary pain
So easily vanquished, if only
Could you with new eyes
Upon the one watching you?
Asher By
Sophira
Painful
Tightness in my chest
Stiletto in my heart
Thinking of life without
Asher
Radiant
The light that he shines
From his eyes and his heart
Shaking his golden hair
To slide over his shoulders
And shattering the lights like
Golden mirrors in a blaze of
Splendor
Tears
Glittering in ice-blue eyes
The breaking of hearts
The beauty in those eyes
Heartbreaking
Love
Drowning in my memories and
Drinking you down with my eyes
Such everlasting physical beauty
To blink would cause me pain
Yet those same eyes are frosty
Cold with anger and pain and hurt
Hurt only true love can cause
Watching you walk away in
Silence
